Offset Defends Will Smith Amid Jada And August Alsina Cheating Scandal

Offset recently came to bat for the Hollywood actor, Will Smith. As most know, the last few days have been a strange time for the Smith family due to rumors of Jada Pinkett-Smith’s affair with August Alsina, which turned out to be partially true.

In case you missed it, August recently came out to say that he once dated Jada Pinkett-Smith while she was still married to Will. During an episode of her Facebook series, Red Table Talk, Jada, and Will confirmed they had once taken a short break from each other.

Even though Will and Jada managed to make things work out in the end, Will became the subject of many cruel memes on the internet. Since then, the actor has been criticized by prolific members of the hip-hop community including Boosie Badazz and 50 Cent, who heckled the Wild Wild West star on the ‘Gram.

As it was previously reported, 50 Cent brought up Jada’s past relationship with the late rapper, 2Pac, whom Jada was close to up until his death in the late 1990s.

Even though there were many jokes at Will’s expense, there were still positive responses to what many described as a “mature” response to the controversy.

Put simply, some fans online appreciated the fact Will managed to hold it down for his wife and keep their romance going for the sake of their two kids together. On Jada’s side, Meek Mill came out to say that he found her honesty “refreshing.”

The Migos rapper, Offset, then came to bat for the I, Robot star, claiming that even though the incident may be somewhat embarrassing for him, he still has the sex appeal for all the women out there. Offset wrote on his IG that he was laughing at everyone who pretends Will Smith couldn’t steal all of their girlfriends.

After his post, Offset wrote, “don’t shoot the messenger.” Despite Smith’s massive success in the music industry and the film industry, he does have somewhat of a complicated relationship with the rap scene.

Some rappers have poked fun at his “clean” style, often dubbed as “corny.” However, Smith has received credit where credit is due, including when Joyner Lucas shouted out to him on his track, “Will.”
